ARMA

Tuesday 12th April
We said goodbye to the Fischers this morning as they left for their 5 day break at the Novotel in Nusa Dua.

Ros and I then set out with the boys for a walk down Monkey Forest Road, before parting ways at the Sacred Monkey Forest.
.
We kept on walking in the direction of the Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) in Pengosekan while Rob and Pete headed back to Cinta Grill for a coffee. Ros and I used the opportunity to check out some great homewares shopping before spending a few hours at ARMA, one of my favourite places in Ubud.

Trust my stylish sister to choose her outfit to echo the beautiful aesthetic of the gardens of the ARMA gallery and resort. After exploring the gallery and the resort gardens we stayed on for a light lunch at the very refined ARMA restaurant.

It was after 2.00pm before we got back to Sri, and we were pretty wet by then after the rain squalls we'd had to negotiate on the walk back.  We had a swim under clearing skies and lazed around a while until it was time to head out again to get a dinner date organised with the rest of the gang.

We decided on Cafe Wayan (again) for dinner and made it the night of the duck - the steamed duck feast for Judy and Sophie and crispy duck for most of the rest of us - YUM!

There were a few dramas that night: there was the French lady who fainted at the next table (she was OK - just very heat affected I think!) and then Joshy tripped in a drainhole on the way back to Cendana after our dinner. He had Abi on his shoulders at the time but, luckily other that Josh sustaining a few scratches no one came to any harm. I hated hearing that story though the next morning!
