Zoe and Ella

Zoe Serafina and Ella are second cousins, born 14 months apart, Ella in Canberra, Zoe in Sydney. We met up with Zoe and her mum Clare and dad Spiros last weekend in Rubyos in King St Newtown. Throughout our l-o-n-g lunch (nearly 3 hours) Zoe slept, fed and behaved as you would expect a genuinely adorable baby girl does. Rob and I were amazed to see how much she resembles her grandfather, only far more beautiful.

Ella is nearing her 18 month old milestone. She had a ball this morning helping her dad and Grandpa remove sand from the back of the work ute.

Josh and Jody are sprucing up their little house at the moment - the exterior timber trims on the house have all been painted a smart dark sage colour, new paving has been laid in the front garden and more paving will be added to the back garden next weekend while we entertain Nellie the beagle. Ella really needs a paved path for future bike riding and ball throwing activities.

We were all able to breathe a sigh of relief this week with the announcement that the 4 new Greens members of the ACT Legislative Assembly will allow Labor to form a minority government with the assurance that the Greens will not support any no confidence motion.
Of much greater concern is the outcome of the US presidential election on Tuesday 4 November - our Melbourne Cup day.

Ella is looking like a stunning young lady. 18 months is the cutest age I'm sure!
